Michelle & Chris’s Wonderful London Wedding
Very many congratulations again to My London Wedding Planner’s beautiful couple Michelle and Chris, who live in Melbourne, Australia and tied the knot back in February with a wonderful London Wedding using duck egg & coral with a hint of pale yellow as their colour scheme. Their ceremony was at St. Mark’s Church Clerkenwell followed by a reception & party at 1 Lombard Street in the City of London, & I am honoured to have been chosen to plan their special day with them! The beautiful Bride Michelle wore an absolutely stunning wedding gown from London based House of Mooshki with Kate Spade New York bridal shoes. And thanks to Amanda Tironi Hair & Zoe Cornwell Make-Up who worked to ensure Michelle and all the Bridal Party were all happy and very well taken care of on the Wedding Morning! The handsome Groom Chris sported an exquisite tailor made tuxedo with bow tie finished off with a white shirt with black button detail and braces.
Being fantastically creative people, they took on the rather mammoth task of designing and putting together all of their wedding stationary including their invitations, table plan, table names and lovely cutlery packs with menus & name tags fitted onto them. The inspiration for the table plan and names was taken from all the places they had lived together and followed their journey to the Top Table – so sweet! Their personalities shone through and all of these details were greatly received by their guests. Throughout the wedding planning they included so many thoughtful details just for their guests – such as baskets of blankets, hand warmers and umbrella’s at the Church incase there was a February chill or drizzle in the air. At the reception venue they designed personalised cushions showing their journey to the Wedding Day, along with their fantastic Wedding Hangover Kit favours (or Survival Kit for guests that didn’t drink alcohol), and they had personalised Champagne glasses made for the toasts for all the Top Table and wedding party glass charms for their Bridesmaids & Groomsmen!
The lovely Pem Izett decorated the church by lining the aisle with lanterns and white petals to give the ceremony a romantic candlelight atmosphere, finishing off with 2 bay trees decorated with fairy lights tied together with a ribbon to keep the aisle free and ready for the Bride. At the venue they had a mixture of stunning blue & white hydrangeas in tall vases and cream & blush roses on crystal candelabras which gave the room a strikingly beautiful & romantic glow and fit in perfectly with the venue’s décor. For arrival drinks they served a selection of cocktails & beer – guests particularly adored the pretty straws for their cocktail reception….as well as the delicious cocktails themselves obviously! Followed by a sumptuous meal prepared to perfection by 1 Lombard Street. The Bride’s Auntie Jackie made their wonderful Wedding Cake decorated with sugar flowers matching their colour scheme of duck egg & coral. Instead of dessert, they had a lovely selection of cakes from The Abigail Bloom Cake Company including personalised cake pops with their initials and wedding date on them. Michelle & Chris did their First Dance in style…there was even a lift in there – and then everyone partied on until the small hours keeping their Hangover Kits close by until they were needed!
My London Wedding Planner Ayshea Donaldson would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the brilliant suppliers for helping to make their wedding day so very special and wishing Michelle & Chris a long & happy future together!
