Ally & Simon’s Autumn Wonderland Wedding

Ally & Simon both love Autumn so it was no surprise that they decided to get married in October and have a celebration of all things Autumn as their wedding theme! They got married at the absolutely stunning Mottram Hall just outside of Manchester which had a perfect backdrop and style for their big day.

The beautiful Bride Ally wore the stunning Ian Stuart ‘Atlantis’ wedding gown, topped off with a diamante head piece and antique deep orange & amber necklace. And the handsome Groom Simon wore a traditional morning suit with burnt orange cravat. After a very moving ceremony (even the registrar was nearly in tears!) everyone was guided to the fantastic Garden Room and lawn for photos & bubbly. The sun was shining and the confetti was out in full force too! Guests were also treated to some traditional Indian sweets called Mithai before being called through for the wedding breakfast.

In keeping with the Autumnal look, the room was decorated with fabulous tree table centres with leaves on them, and the chairs had a mix of autumn leaf coloured ribbons of berry red & burnt orange. They chose to name the tables after some of their favourite places in films – guests particularly loved being sat at Lothlorien! They had lovely little bronze leaf bookmarks for their favours and they had asked their guests to carve and bring pumpkins which were all displayed proudly in the room.

The Bride Ally has her own creative business and so she designed & made a lot of the elements herself such as the magnificent table plan, her table names and the lovely leaf place cards that hung delicately from the glasses.

As well as all these, she also made her absolutely stunning brooch bouquet, all the buttonholes and the lovely corsages that her Bridesmaids & Maid of Honour all wore.

   

Following the delicious Thai-themed meal and some great speeches, the Bride & Groom cut their Pumpkin cake and then danced the night away with all their nearest & dearest!
