John & Gez’s sensational London Wedding!
Many congratulations to our lovely couple John & Gerrard who tied the knot on Saturday 16th August 2014 in the beautiful Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall! After a very moving ceremony with music from the London Youth Gospel Choir, the happy couple and their guests moved on to their Pimms reception at the nearby Drapers Arms.
They were then picked up for Champagne on a Big Red Bus and went off for a tour around London before arriving at the fabulous 1 Lombard Street to the sounds of a glorious bagpipe welcome.
They had an Irish & Scottish theme for their floral arrangements, designed by our amazing Pem Izzet, a mixture of green & orange flowers on some tables, and then blue & white on the others – simply stunning. They even had a Guinness & white chocolate tier incorporated into their Choccywoccydoodah wedding cake, which went down an absolute storm!
And our lovely Helena Gammon designed all their wedding stationary in keeping with the London look – everyone especially loved the customised wedding table plan tube map. She also made little place card tags to go with their bespoke mini vodka & brandy favours – so sweet!
After a wonderful wedding breakfast (guest’s highlight being the Beef Wellington), and some very funny speeches, the party started with fantastic music from More Cowbell band and also hours of fun provided by Picture Blast’s Photobooth. Then our brilliant friends at Lovelight continued, and finished, the evening in spectacular fashion with everyone dancing until the early hours thanks to the fantastic DJ Dean & Mark. They also provided the most amazing lighting and atmosphere to keep everyone in that party spirit all night long!
